Q:  How do I arrange a tour of the fire station?

Set a date and time by contacting Chief Bohan at 897-4270.

Q:  How many members are on the fire department?

There are a maximum of 40 members on the Brodhead Fire Department at one time.

Q:  Are any members full time?
A:  
Yes, the chief is the only full time member.

Q:  How do I become a member of the Brodhead Fire Department?

You can pick up an application at the fire department during normal business hours.

Q:  Does the fire department respond to medical calls?
A:  
Yes. If the the ambulance is already on another call, the fire department will respond to a medical call.

Q:  Do I need to report a fire that I will be burning in the country?

Yes, you can call Brodhead Dispatch at 897-2112.

Q:  What should I do if my smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector goes off?
A:  
Evacuate the house and call 911.

Q:  What do I do when my smoke detector chirps?
A:  
The battery is probably low and needs to be changed, or the detector may be worn out or faulty and in need of replacement. Batteries should be replaced annually and the detectors should be replaced every ten years.
