Brodhead Fire was alerted to the 900 block of East 5th Avenue for a garage fire. Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke coming from the front of the garage. The fire was quickly knocked down and Orfordville Fire Department later assisted with overhaul.
Brodhead Fire Department, along with Brodhead Area EMS and Brodhead Police Department, were called to the area of 1st Center Avenue and 9th Street for a milk tanker accident at about 4:30am. Arriving crews found the truck to be leaking diesel fuel and milk.
At approximately 3:30am Brodhead Fire Department was paged to the W1200 block of Pedee Road for a fully engulfed barn fire. While en route, a MABAS box card was pulled to bring in assistance from other departments, but all were cancelled before arriving on scene except for a Juda Tender. Upon arrival, the barn had already collapsed due to structural damage during the fire. Another barn close by was protected and did not sustain any damage. Crews remained on scene for about three hours.
The Brodhead Fire Department was paged to the W1600 block of County K for a reported barn fire. First responding crews noticed the smoke cloud from a distance and immediately pulled a MABAS Box Card to the first level, bringing an engine from Juda, tenders from Juda and Albany, and Brodhead's ambulance. Upon arrival, the barn was fully involved and the attack was in a defensive mode throughout the duration of the call. Firefighters remained on scene for about five hours.
At approximately 1:40 a.m., crews were alerted to the 3900 block of Brown Deer Drive for a fully involved structure fire that the occupants were out of. First arriving crews found a two story, wood frame dwelling that was burnt down to the shell. Addition trucks were immediately called, bringing an engine from Albany, tenders from Albany, Juda, Monticello, and Orfordville, and ambulances from Albany, Brodhead, and Orfordville to check out the occupants of the building. Crews remained on scene for about five and a half hours.
