Brodhead Police to participate in unused Medication Round-Up
On Saturday April 27, 2013 citizens may turn in unused or outdated medications at the Brodhead Police Department from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. The prescription drug collection at the police department is part of a larger GreenCounty program sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. The medication round-up is aimed at assisting citizens with the safe disposal of unused or outdated medications.
During this collection prescriptions, over the counter medications, and liquids in their original packaging will be accepted.
Public Health and Safety officials urge citizens not to flush medications down the drain where they ultimately lead to contamination of residential water supplies.
