Senior Center and Green County Nutrition

Brodhead Senior Center 


There have been changes in the hours beginning January 2014 at the Brodhead Senior Center and Nutrition Program. The Senior Center is located on the corner of W Exchange Street and W 2nd Avenue on the west side of the square.  The Senior Center/Nutrition Program will not be open on Tuesdays or Thursdays.  The new hours are:

Monday -8am to 12:30pm.  Dining is at 11:30am.
Tuesday - CLOSED
Wednesday -1pm to 3pm.  No Dining. Card Playing Only
Thursday - CLOSED
Friday - 8am to 3pm.  Dining is at 11:30am. Card Playing 1pm - 3pm

Wednesday's from 1:15pm to 3:00pm
Friday's from 1:15pm to 3:00pm

Elder Benefits Specialist Linda Gallagher from the Green County Aging and Disability Resource Center will be available in the City Hall Conference room.  Check the calendar for dates.   


The Nutrition Program is for persons 60 and older.  The Suggested Donation for a meal is $4.00.  Contributions are voluntary and confidential.  No one is denied service because of inability to contribute to the cost of meals.  The actual cost of each meal is $8.04, which includes food, preparation, and transportation costs, as well as program facilitation expenses. 

Funds used to maintain the nutrition program include, Federal dollars through the Older American Act, funding through the State of Wisconsin, Green County Levy, and donations from participants.
